I just talked to the man that I arranged our safari with and he said two things: one the migration crossed the river on the 14th, two days ago which is a major event. Also 30s lion took down a zebra in front of the dining tent on June 8th at the camp we stayed at in the Serengeti. The clients and guides locked themselves in the car and watched the whole thing. They were then driven to their tents because there were still two lions around after the rangers chased the other lions away. They stayed at the camp that night! I am both glad I was not there and jealous that I wasnt there.
